Tour week begins in Albany on Sunday November 5th with The Amazing Albany Bike Ride. Based on the Frenchman Bay Locals’ Favourite, this 83km, 834m ride will visit a number of the region’s iconic attractions including ANZAC Peace Park, Camp Quaranup, Frenchman Bay, Discovery Bay, Salmon Holes, Stony Hill, The Gap and Natural Bridge, and The Wind Farm.
Sweeping up and around Marine Drive from Middleton Beach, where the first views of Michaelmas and Breaksea Islands delight the eyes, the ride continues around princess Royal Drive and strikes out to the Torndirrup National Park. The landscape of this wild and rugged place is unique in the world, known for its spectacular massive granite outcrops, wave-carved features, sheer cliffs and steep sandy slopes and dunes.

Joining us on The Amazing Albany Bike Ride will be Marianne Vos and her WM3 Pro Cycling Team, including Moniek Tenniglo and Kasia Niewiadoma. Marianne and Moniek were with us for the 2016 ride, and those who had the privilege to ride with them have made memories to last a lifetime. There’s nothing quite like feeling the hand of a 13-times World Champion and Olympic gold medallist on your back, giving you an energy-recharging push as you crest the steep slope of Stony Hill!
